Greek
At present I have 1.0 Greek Tortoise (Testudo greaca ???). I do not know the subspecies because I am an idiot! I should, but I don't.
Anyway, I have had him since 2003. I got him along with 9 others at a show in Chicago. They were all wild caught and within 2 months, all but this one was dead!!! The people I got them from said they were in great shape and ready to go. To me that means:
1. They are free from internal disease and parasites.
2: A vet has checked them over and said they are good to go.
So, in my case, they were not good to go, and they were in bad shape. They all had good weight and ate great. Anyway, here is my lonesome George. He is a ball. He is constantly begging for more food and loves to be outside. Over the summer he found an old soup bone in the yard and started eating it!!
