This is my fix for Whisper Filters.
This keep all the stuff out of the pump, which is located at the bottom of the filter.
This greatly adds to the life of the product.
But don't forget to periodically take the bottom off of the filter and clean the pump.
I clean this outside filter once a week. Usually I do it on Fridays since I get off work a little earlier.
The dirty thing starts out white. It is a duct filter that I got from Menards. I assume you can buy it at any local hardware store or even maybe WalMart. I didn't cut it at all.
The screen thing is a cross stitching thing. You do cross stitching on it and I do not know what it is called. I got a package of them at WalMart.
The cross stitching thing is held together with the smallest zip ties I could find. I got them at WalMart also.
The total I paid for all 3 packages of items was less than $10, so this is a really cheap retro fit to make sure the filter lasts longer.
Notice the back of the filter. I cut out space on the cross stitching thing to make room for the suction cup on the filter.
